A FREE Saturday

It seems like when school starts, our weekends get booked.

HOWEVER,

Today was a rare day 'off'.  

So we took advantage.

We had some friends come by for a short,

catch-up visit.

So good to see them and visit.

And the kids played outside.

Randy did some work outside.

What did I do?

Sat right here and watched.

(at least part of the time)

To Grandmother's House We Go

We just returned from our annual summer vacation to Nana's house.

As usual, it was a giant hit.

Fishing, 4-wheeling, eating, animals.

We loved it!

The reason you will not see pics of Sawyer fishing.

(I'm not crazy!)

We had a marvelous time and it was so relaxing!

Can't wait to do it again.

Most folks with children are always looking for good deals.  Consignment sales, yard sales, BOGO, etc. 

We LOVE all things cheap or even FREE.

JCPenney is offering free haircuts for kids grade 6 and under for the month of August.

Well, I am all over that!

Saves me about $60.

I was skeptical about the haircuts since my JCP salon usually caters to the Senior crowd.

BUT

I figured they couldn't mess it up too badly.

After all, hair grows, right?

Overall, I am pleased with my free haircuts.

Ansley will need to blow her hair dry to get any volume but she is pleased with her new 'do.

If she is pleased, I'm pleased.
